![]() ![]() Rylee in my opinion is naive and stupid, if she thinks she has any power. The evil isn't limited to her father, but it spreads to her trying to protect the family she loves. She has an evil drunk father, and was thrown out of her home when she wouldn't abort the baby after she was raped. Rylee lives with Clint as his nanny for his daughter Rheenie. Lose yourself in Weltworth, Texas and have a cup of coffee at Rylee's house. I love her books and this is a great addition to her growing repertoire, one of the most emotional books I've read. The flavor of Texas and the allure of cowboys was as strong as ever from Ms. This is a wonderfully written story of emotions so real you can almost touch them. I couldn't put this book down as I rooted for her and felt her heartbreak. My heart bled for Rylee on every step she took. ![]() ![]() Her own insecurities plus a visit or two from her father turn her happy life into turmoil. When she gets a job as housekeeper for hunky Clint Maloney, it looks like Rylee's ship has come in. Always seeking approval she never gets, Rylee walks the straight and narrow, hoping someday things will get better. Rylee has major obstacles in her path, most brought on by a brutal abusive father. Ball's books and her strong heroines win me over immediately. I must admit I love the stubborn, handsome cowboys in Ms. ![]()
